The world of 65-years old taxi driver Hartmut shatters when his wife leaves him for someone else. He pursues his daily work grumpily and introvertedly until he meets 6-year old Hayat, a Turkish girl who suddenly appears all on her own in Hartmut's taxi even though the old grouch just recently drove her and her mother through Nuremberg together. After trying to get rid of her in vain, Hartmut finally sets out with her to find her mother.
